Atlas Partners, LLC conducts auctions of real estate, frequently on behalf of or at the direction of lending institutions.  The focus of the auction activity has been on owner-occupied property that has become surplus to the on-going operational needs of the business, either as a result of a reorganization or a liquidation.

The majority of the auctions are preceded by conventional real estate marketing, with a specific bid due-date.  A controlled open-outcry auction is then held amongst the qualified bidders.  Our experience is that this process provides the greatest exposure for the property and assists in creating a sense of urgency among the likely prospects for the property in question.  Generally, only qualified bidders and their advisors are permitted to attend our auctions.

When complex situations are encountered, the commencement of the auction process assists in identifying the real buyers and creating a deadline for the submission of expressions of interest in a purchase. On occasion, this leads to a negotiated sale transaction on a much faster time table than conventional real estate marketing would have produced.
